Carta del presidente
Como cada año, toca hacer balance sobre lo acontecido en el ya pasado ejercicio 2021 con el ánimo de tomar consciencia de lo conseguido, que no ha sido poco, y con la mirada puesta en el impulso de aquellos puntos fuertes que nos permitan alcanzar nuevos y ambiciosos objetivos.
Si el año 2020 nos sorprendió con una pandemia absolutamente inesperada, la principal característica del que ahora cerramos, desde la óptica empresarial, ha sido el condicionante económico que ha supuesto seguir bajo los efectos de una pandemia que no ha terminado de desaparecer y de la que se han vivido varias olas, cada cual con más incidencia en la población que la anterior. A esto se ha sumado, además, un preocupante incremento de los costes energéticos así como de las materias y una escasez de las mismas poco entendible.
No obstante, CETEM ha conseguido cerrar un año positivo con un crecimiento en ingresos de un 9,1% respecto al ejercicio 2021 donde destaca de forma muy significativa el incremente de un 64,1% de la facturación privada, dato éste de una gran importancia porque atestigua un interés creciente del sector empresarial por los proyectos y servicios avanzados que se ofrecen así como una solvencia económica que garantiza la viabilidad de la institución que sigue creciendo en ingresos a un ritmo muy importante, máxime cuando todo se ha conseguido con sólo un aumento del 4,5% de la masa salarial.
Como presidente quiero agradecer también el apoyo que, de nuevo, ha manifestado el conjunto de socios al haberme dado su confianza para seguir 4 años más al frente de esta institución lo cual hará que, en poco tiempo, supere las 2 décadas al frente de la misma. Este hecho supone para mí un orgullo pero también una responsabilidad pues CETEM se ha convertido en un actor clave e imprescindible para el sector del hábitat que habría perdido muchísima competitividad si no se contase con instrumentos como el Centro Tecnológico para su avance.
Finalmente, quisiera dar las gracias a todas aquellas organizaciones e instituciones que nos muestran y nos brindan su apoyo y colaboración y, especialmente, a la administraciones regional, nacional y europea que se han convertido en aliados imprescindibles para seguir dotando de una gran capacidad innovadora al conjunto del tejido empresarial. No obstante, continuaremos reclamando su ayuda para poder seguir creciendo en aras de conseguir un apoyo aún más decidido a la industria del hábitat que pasa, entre otras cosas, por la construcción de un edificio anexo dedicado a la formación e innovación que se ha configurado ya como absolutamente imprescindible en un futuro muy próximo. Para ello seguiremos trabajando con el mejor espíritu y el mayor de los talentos.

Foreword
Like every year, it is time to take stock of what happened in the past financial year 2021 with the aim of becoming aware of what has been achieved, which has not been little, and with an eye on promoting those strengths that allow us to achieve new and ambitious goals.
If the year 2020 surprised us with an absolutely unexpected pandemic, the main characteristic of the year that we are now closing, from a business perspective, has been the economic condition that has meant continuing under the effects of a pandemic that has not completely disappeared and from which several “waves” have been experienced, each one with more impact on the population than the previous one. Also, in addition, a worrying increase in energy costs as well as in materials and an incomprehensible shortage of them.
However, CETEM has managed to close a positive year with a growth in revenue of 9.1% compared to the 2021 financial year, where the 64.1% increase in private incoming stands out in a very significant way, a fact of great importance, because it testifies to a growing interest of the business sector in the advanced projects and services that are offered, as well as an economic solvency that guarantees the viability of the institution that continues to grow in income at a very significant rate, especially when everything has been achieved with just an increase 4.5% of the wage bill.
As president, I would also like to thank the support that, once again, the group of partners has shown in having given me their trust to continue 4 more years at the head of this institution, which will mean that, in a short time, it will exceed 2 decades at the head of the same. This fact is for me a pride but also a responsibility because CETEM has become a key and essential actor for the habitat sector that would have lost a lot of competitiveness if it did not have instruments such as the Technological Center for its advancement.
Finally, I would like to thank all those organizations and institutions that show and offer us their support and collaboration and, especially, the regional, national and european administrations that have become essential allies to continue providing a great innovative capacity to the whole of the business fabric. However, we will continue to ask for your help in order to continue growing achieving even more determined support for the habitat industry, which includes, among other things, the construction of an annex building dedicated to training and innovation that has already been set up as absolutely essential in the very close future. For this we will continue working with the best spirit and the greatest talent.
